“Death is not the opposite of life, but a part of it.” (Haruki Murakami) I have been a licensed funeral director with the BAO since August, 2020. I accepted my diploma from Humber College as a Funeral Director- Class 1, with honours, in 2020. Previously, graduated from King’s College with a degree in Thanatology and a certificate in Loss, Grief and Bereavement, in 2017. My goal within the industry is to make an impact. The funeral industry is rapidly changing. We need directors who are willing to accept these changes and adapt.
When we are exposed to a death, it is not uncommon for our lives to unravel due to grief. My greatest passion is to assist those during their final moments with their loved ones. During my years as a funeral director, I have heard numerous families mention the memory of their loved ones final departure. The family doesn’t recall the arrangement or the terms of the contract being signed at the funeral home. They remember the final moment the funeral director steps into their home, or the room at the nursing home, and transfers their loved one into the care of the funeral home. They remember their loved one leaving for the last time.

New age funeral service, same traditional values.
